Glebe House Nursery (6 Months - 4 Years)
Glebe House Nursery started life
as Hall Farm Day Nursery in 1992, run by Susie Pull, NNEB, RSHDip who
trained at Norland Nursery Training College. Under Susie's management the Nursery moved to the present purpose built premises within the
grounds of Glebe House School in September 1999, where it is now fully
integrated to become Glebe House School and Nursery. All staff have
relevant childcare qualifications and attend ongoing training.
With
its own dedicated building and play area, the Nursery provides a safe
and happy environment for our youngest children. From the start,
learning is fun and through constructive play the children are
encouraged to develop creativity, self-expression and independence, but
most of all to enjoy themselves. Carefully planned days and weekly
themes ensure variety for our regular attenders and continuity for
those who come more occasionally. Great
emphasis is placed on pastoral care and the staff/pupil ratio is
generous, ensuring that we can recognise budding talents and potential
problems from an early age. Parents are encouraged to become involved
and through "All About Me" books, parents and staff can share a child's
experience.
The
Nursery is very much part of the Glebe House community, benefiting
from all the school's facilities and enjoying plenty of contact with
the rest of the school. To ease them into the Pre-Prep, the rising 4's
spend one afternoon a week of the Summer Term with the Reception
teacher, making the transition as seamless as possible.
In
the secure and caring environment of their Glebe House familyť,
the children thrive as they explore and discover new talents and take
their first steps on their educational discovery trail.
