John Crofts - HeadmasterGlebe House School is a truly happy place to be. I hope that you will enjoy reading this prospectus and decide to visit us, so that I am able to show you what your children could achieve in the secure, supportive environment that is Glebe House.

Many of our pupils join in the Nursery, and can spend over 12 years as part of our family, learning, playing and supporting one another. Some join later, but all appreciate the special atmosphere of the school. At the heart of Glebe House is our emphasis on supporting and valuing the individual. Through our House and tutorial systems we are able sensitively to monitor the progress of pupils, and to delight in the contributions they make to the life of the school.

Founded in 1874 we encourage the traditional values of courtesy, consideration for others, self-discipline and a desire to contribute to society. Equally, we are committed to the achievement of high academic standards, harnessing the best of modern educational practice. The success of this approach can be seen in the scholarships our pupils have won to leading independent schools throughout the country.

Music, sport and drama are a significant part of a child’s life at Glebe House. Pupils are encouraged to participate, to show commitment and to try different things. Many excel - we aim to give all the opportunity to enjoy themselves.

Our partnership with parents is of great importance. Through working together, we can support your children both morally and spiritually, so that they approach their teenage years intellectually, culturally, physically and socially prepared to move confidently to their Senior School.
