Under 9 Boys Rugby - Versus Greshams Away
On Wednesday we played Gresham’s at home.  I won the toss and chose to start.  It started very evenly with good tackling and passing but eventually they broke away and scored.  We came back strongly but again they broke away and scored another try.  We were still confident and Joshua and Lewis made some crunching tackles.  Then the whistle blew for half time with the score at 0-2.

 

The second half began.  The play was much better and we made some good runs and breaks but they kept holding on.  Then they scored 3 more tries.  When all hope was nearly lost Toby came to the rescue and scored 2 tries.

 

We were tremendously happy but the battle between good and evil was not over yet.  With 10 minutes to go they scored 2 more tries.

 

The end score was 2-7 to them.  Well played everyone especially Lewis for some great tackles, George for great team spirit and the parents for great support.
