On a hot and sunny Wednesday, we played Town Close at
home. We won the toss and chose to kick
off. We thought MJ wasn’t going to be
fit but he made the decision to play. In the absence of Freddie, Thomas Crown
and James Orme bravely stepped in.
We played three fifteen minute matches. During the first match Charlie and Tom made
some good tackles. Two tries were nearly
scored but they were disallowed. The first
match ended at 0-0.
We lost the 2nd match from a last minute penalty
but Oliver scored a great try at the end of some good team work.
The third match was very close, Town Close scoring a quick
try. I scored a try and then I stepped
up to take the conversion and, yes, it hit the bar.
Well played everyone, especially Charlie, Tom Hancock and
Michael Hutchinson.
The final scores were:
First Match 0-0
Second Match 5-8
Third Match 5-5.
We need to practice our catching.
