| Under 13s Girls Hockey - Versus Taverham Away |

On Wednesday 14th November Glebe played Wisbech
away. We won first push back and we
started well with Frankie applying a lot of pressure on their goal. Frankie made her way to the top of the D and
struck the ball really hard. It crossed
to Milly and went in. It was their push
back and they pushed the ball out to the wing.
We missed a few tackles and eventually they scored. It was our push back and I passed the ball
straight to their best player. She
dribbled in and scored within 10 seconds.
I was feeling like an idiot and the half time whistle blew.
After half time we didn’t lose heart and we came back with 100% effort. Sadly so did they and we were under pressure from the start and they were soon in the D. Laura cleared the ball well but they were strong. They thwacked the ball and it went in. We didn’t give up and we gained a short corner. Frankie gave it to me and I hit it. It went up in the air and deflected off Milly’s stick. Sadly it was a hit away. We carried on pushing for the ball and eventually one of their defenders hit it in. Sadly the whistle blew a short time after. The end score was 3-2 to Wisbech.
Well played everybody especially Milly and Frankie. We need to work on looking for the ball instead of waiting for it. Glebe House 2– Taverham 3
