Under 10s Girls Netball - Versus Wisbech - Home

On Wednesday 20th  February the  Glebe Under 10 girls netball team played Wisbech at home.  Wisbech had brought an U11 team, so we brought on Catherine, Lizzie and Jessica after the first quarter.  I won the toss and chose 1st centre pass.  There was a good range of passing, especially bounce passes to get round the height of Wisbech but unfortunately they intercepted the ball a couple of times and, with their quick passes, they managed to score five goals by the end of the first quarter.


 


 

In the second quarter we managed to get the ball in the circle and Sammy scored two goals.  Unfortunately Wisbech managed to score another goal.  The whistle blew for half time and the score was 2-6 to Wisbech.

We had a team talk and swapped some positions and we went on again.  We got off to a good start with some good teamwork and getting into spaces a bit more, but they still managed to score another goal.  Fortunately Jessica Holt scored another goal for us.  In the last quarter we were trying so hard to make it a draw or a win but we thought it would be extremely hard since the score was 3-7 to Wisbech.  We put in a lot of effort but they still managed to score five more goals and we only managed to score one.

Well done everyone, especially Sammy and Jessica for scoring our goals, and Esme, Catherine and Lizzy for some excellent passing and tgeamwork.  I think we need to practise getting into spaces and marking our players more.
