On Wednesday 19 September the under 10 girls went away to St
Hugh’s to play hockey indoors. We didn’t
get off to a very good start and they quickly scored a goal, but luckily (for
us) they weren’t in the “D”, so it didn’t count.
We were battling hard but they were a strong team and kept
the ball in our half and they scored.
Finally, we got the ball into their half and we had a go at shooting,
but they defended well and hit the ball back down our end. When the whistle blew for half time the score
was 1-0 to St Hugh’s.
We went back on for the second half, but they scored another
two more goals to make the end score 3-0 to St Hugh’s.
Well done to everyone, especially Grace, Eleanor and Hattie
for defending most of their goals, but I think we need to practice tackling,
passing and marking the opposition.
