On a windy September day,
Glebe House played KES away.
I lost the toss, and they chose to kick,
A succession of tries, all very quick.
Jack G scored a try off the other team’s fault,
But KES didn’t give up and began to revolt.
The score at Half Time was five to one
But our try-scoring epic had just begun.
Jack G got the ball and sped away,
KES all sprang around in complete dismay.
Harry got jealous and jumped over the ruck.
He sped over the try line and scored, just our luck.
Jack G’s old boots just wouldn’t give in.
We were all determined that the team would win.
The play was all ended, the whistle had blown,
We had lost but our confidence had grown.
Well played team for doing so well.
Our play will get better but only time will tell.
The end score was 35-25 to them,
But we won the second half 20 to 10.
