Pre-Prep News

play7.jpgAn increasing number of children now move from our Nursery to the Pre-Prep, which means that places for children from outside our Nursery are few. The integration between the 3-4 room and the Reception class means that the children have an almost seamless transition when they start school at the age of 4+, their familiarity with the structure and staff of the Pre-Prep giving them a head start to learning. However, parents of children from outside our Nursery should enquire, as we always try to find places where we can.

The Pre-Prep caters for children from Reception to Year II, where they have their own classroom, but use many of the Main School facilities such as the Music School, The hall, Gym & Swimming Pool, where they are often taught by subject specialists.

The Pre-Prep day runs from 8.35am to 3.30pm, with a break for lunch at 12.15pm, when they can choose from three nutritious, freshly cooked main courses (which are usually prepared from fresh local ingredients) and a dessert. Upon joining the school every child becomes part of the school house system,  developing a strong allegiance to that House through effort in class to earn ‘stars’ or competitions in the arts and sport.
