Pre Prep Interhouse Arts Festival
March 11th 2008
2.30pm
THE OVERALL WINNERS - ST EDMUNDS
The second Pre Prep Arts Festival was again extremely successful. The children worked incredibly hard to learn songs, dances and poetry for the event and the final result was very close with St. Edmunds winning overall.
The competition was judged by Miss Sudbury from Kings School,
Ely and I think I am right in saying that her job was an extremely
difficult one as all the children performed so beautifully on the day.
There was also a winner of each section.
The Dance and Drama Section was won by Barbers for their rendition of, "Run, Rabbit, Run,"
The
Poetry Section was won by L'Estrange for their poem, "A Walk in the
Country"
and the Song was won by the overall winners, St. Edmunds, for
their version of , "The Red, Red Robin."
Well Done Everyone!
REVIEW!
Pre- prep Inter House Arts Festival
A wonderful
afternoon was spent watching the Inter House Arts festival by the parents and
carers of pre prep. We were amazed by
the confidence and enthusiasm of the children in their performance. Well done to the Barbers bunnies who bounced
beautifully across the stage managing to dodge the farmers’ guns. Meanwhile L’Estrange got very muddy with
their ‘walk in the country’ poem and convinced us all to take our wellies! The brave children in St Edmunds had spiders
crawling all over then with their poem ‘there’s a spider on my neck’. It was wonderful to see the festival end with
all of pre prep singing ‘the ugly bug ball’ with everyone joining in with the
actions. It was a spectacular show. We must give a big thank you to all the
teaching staff for their hard work and well done to all the children. We look forward to the next show!
