Same but
Different by Andrew Hancock
I’m black,
he’s white,
I’m smart,
he’s bright,
I’m black,
he’s white,
I’m strong,
he’s of great might.
I’m black,
he’s white,
I’m fast, he
runs at the speed of light,
I’m black,
he’s white,
I’m tough; he
never loses a fight,
I’m black,
he’s white,
I’m tall;
he’s of a great height,
I’m black,
he’s white,
I’m never
wrong, he’s always right,
I’m black,
he’s white,
I’m funny, in
jokes he takes great delight,
There’s not
much difference,
Except our
skin,
But what
really matters,
Is what is
within!
