Summer pastimes

Enjoying the season

We start the summer term after a relatively mild winter and spring, and so we are looking forward to a hopefully favourable season to enjoy all that our coastal location offers.

At Glebe House School, we are blessed with superb grounds to enjoy year-round sports, and this term cricket, rounders, athletics, tennis and swimming all have the opportunity to become part of our curriculum. Activities too abound from learning additional languages (Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and Latin) through our music and theatre activities to sailing and air rifle shooting.

Alongside, our kitchen garden, Hunstanton’s award-winning beaches and our nearby woodland create the perfect spots for outdoor learning. We believe our children benefit from the simple pleasures of spending time outdoors, observing nature, studying and playing in Norfolk’s beautiful coast and country.

As an independent prep school, we have the flexibility to create a curriculum that best matches our pupils’ and teaching staff’s interests, and we are hugely by all that our Forest School offers to our children in and out of the curriculum

Arts too play an important role in our curriculum, and this term all of our children will be involved in the production of our end-of-term House Show – a superb moment which showcases the inclusive and collaborative nature of our school.

Why not also sign up for our Children’s Triathlon (there is also an adult’s Super Sprint Triathlon) on Sunday 14th May?

If you are thinking of an independent education for your child, we would be delighted to invite your family to enjoy a tour of Glebe House School, to be part of our daily life and to discuss your child’s education with us.
